Bridge Event

The Nashville Coalition Against Domestic Violence hosts an annual Meet Us at the Bridge event.  For the 16th year this event recognized individuals and groups in the community who use their time and talents to combat domestic violence and to honor those who have lost their lives to domestic violence in the previous year.

Over a hundred survivors, community members, practitioners, and elected officials attend the event each year.
Family members of homicide victims release roses into the river in memory of their loved one.
A survivor is honored each year with the “Survivor of the Year” award. This is Kathy who is also an OFS volunteer.
An award is given each year in honor of Officer Christy Deadman who was killed in the line of duty. Pictured is her mom at the event.
Our VOICES team and OFS staff facilitators work hard to make this special event meaningful each year.
